I hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend (and that you even got one)! Working alone, as writing is usually a solo effort, can be far more demanding than some realize, and even though I know we all enjoy it and would do it even if we didn't get paid -- and that not all of us do -- it's just as important to take of yourself, your home, and those around you. So make sure you take some time to just be once in a while.
I try to schedule mine so that it generally falls around the same holidays others take -- that way, I am available to get-together, even if no one is able to do that. Of course, I also take frequent breaks and days to myself, sometimes far too many, but get my behind back in gear eventually. Usually because I miss writing, or get tired of living in clutter, if nothing else!
