Horror King Takes a Bite Out of Twilight Authoress

In an interview with USA Today, horror author, Stephen King, gave his unabashed opinion of some of today's more popular authors - and it was none too kind.

Of Twilight series authoress, Stephenie Meyer, King said she "...can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."

He went on to say that both Meyer and J.K. Rowling (whom he praised) are both "speaking directly to young people" and that Meyer's Twilight books were simply a non-threatening way of introducing young girls to sex - to "the feelings that they’re not ready to deal with yet."

Stephen King is the focus of the March 6-8th cover story of USA Weekend.
