I have said before how I try to spend more time on posts here than I do on those on the other blogs. The reasoning is obvious: since this is about writing, I want to make sure the posts are not only informative and entertaining, but grammatically correct and well-written overall. As we all know, this is far easier said than done.
From where you sit, I sometimes go entire weeks without posting anything, but the truth is I usually draft one or more entries in that time... I just don't finish them. Sometimes, the entries are more controversial than I am comfortable with, but more often, I am simply dissatisfied with how the content turns out and I don't want to release it.
What usually happens is once every month or two, I get sickened of having no new content for so long that I go through and finish a slew of them and post them all over a few days or so. I have been trying for over a year now to get on a more regular schedule, but with everything going on, it just hasn't been possible yet. I am still moving toward that, but I'm not deluding myself and I have no reason to try and convince you otherwise:
I have at least two doctors' appointments in the next two weeks, then there's Thanksgiving, I may have another surgery, then there's Christmas, and in-between all of this, I have to keep up with the blogs and the overall site. Obviously, I am going to be stretching things.
But yes, there are several posts created between the ones that actually get published. Some of those later see the light of day, but there are a whole lot more waiting for the day when I actually have the time to give them the attention they deserve.
