I'll be honest with you: the Writer's Digest newsletter is nowhere near as information-packed as some others; it has a lot of good stuff, but if you already subscribe to the magazine (and I assume you do, as it is the flagship trade publication for the industry), you have already read most of it by the time it comes out in the newsletter. More than anything, it serves as an ongoing advertisement for the magazine and its many online departments.
Still, the WD newsletter is one you need to subscribe to, if for no other reason than that it is available. If you are already subscribed to several newsletters - especially if you find you rarely get the chance to read them all - then you can safely skip it. However, it is a good one to have because it reminds you to check out the site regularly (if nothing else) and the site has many departments, blogs, and information not included in the newsletter. The Writer's Digest site is worth looking through.
Simply go to the site and enter your e-mail address. If you haven't already, be sure to create a business e-mail address and make sure you use it only for business and business-related purposes!
