Stephen King penned several early novels under the pseudonym, Richard Bachman. He chose the name based on his love of the band, Bachman-Turner Overdrive. And it turns out founding member, Randy Bachman, actually went looking to meet the author several times in Maine to discuss collaborating with him (he wanted to score some of his movies - or at least get a song or two in there!).
Bachman told Straight.com he actually went to Stephen King's home and knocked on his door, "but he just wasn't there."
