Both the WGA and studios have agreed to sit down for informal talks starting today.
Nothing has been established, but producers are still hoping the WGA pulls requests to include writers for reality shows and animated programs in the WGA from the table. The central issue pertains to content distributed online. Writers want a larger percentage of residuals from this content, but producers are saying they do not know how to figure the proper amount because they do not know how much revenue this content brings.
Both sides agreed to a media blackout.
