Well, after several weeks of tweaking, reading, and trying to figure out this template, I am pretty sure I am over it.
While it's a nice-looking job, it isn't coded very well. I can get pretty close to the same layout with other templates, and even though they may have different design elements, at least they are configurable. Seems like everytime I try to add something new to this one, I have to spend hours fixing the damned thing because it breaks!
I need at least 3 columns for Weird Ink for the features I want to bring you - several of which are search forms and the like - but I wanted the presentation to be low-key and professional, and a lot of the templates I have to choose from are loud, brash, and dynamic. However, for all the time I've spent screwing with this one, I could easily have changed the colors and lessened the ostentatiousness - as well as added the features and links I want! Hell, I could have done all that in half the time I've spent screwing with this template!
But with everything else I have going on this minute, and being two weeks behind thanks to the flu, I just can't afford to mess with it right this minute.
I'll let you know when I've made up my mind as to what I am going to do and we'll take it from there. In the meantime, if things are funky because I break the template almost every, single time I try to so much as add a new link to one of the lists, I apologize. Just bear with me for a little longer...
