The Wrist, the Cyst, the Surgery

I know I don't post here as often as I should and I keep saying that's going to change (after all, it's not like I'm ever at a loss for writing/blogging discussion), but there has been a medical issue lately which has eclipsed my usual slackery.

I reported here a while back that I have a cyst on my right wrist. The unusual thing about it is that it really is painful and they usually aren't. I first noticed it about 2-3 years ago and it didn't hurt then. It disappeared for a while, and when I noticed it a few months ago, I started getting a burning sensation from it. And when direct pressure is applied to it, it's a sharp, stabbing pain.

Well, they are going to excise it in a surgical procedure this Tuesday in an outpatient procedure. I know I will be out for a few days then, but I may try to work some kind of scheduled posting so you won't be completely without something to read. Honestly, I can't say right now.

Anyway, just checking-in to update you and let you know what's going on.
