Scheduling Conflicts

I read where Stephen King said that "there was always something." And one of the (many) "Golden Rules" is to write everyday. The trick is to find some sort of pleasant medium because, like Stephen King said, "there's always something."

This last week truly tested my patience. One of my neighbors went on a drug binge and kept the whole complex up for the whole weekend. The other got drunk and was stopping passing cars and cursing out the drivers. I haven't been able to sleep, haven't been able to eat, and writing was the last thing on my mind.

One of the best things about having a blog(s) is that it keeps me writing everyday. Keeps me regular like a fiber-rich diet. But there are days when you just can't seem to shit or get off the pot, no matter how hard you try. I missed a good three days of blogging there but I learned something important: instead of sitting around, brooding on all the unfairness of my life and current events and letting it all eat me up inside, I could have been blogging about everything and getting it out in the open.

One of these options is therapeutic; the other is just driving me nuts!
